  • Hi Keith, I am thinking the same thing about how amazing it looks. The more I search the more amazing things I see about Michigan. I will be moving there this year and maybe you can suggest some places to visit that has interesting rocks, like you mentioned.

  • This is so beautiful. I was born in the upper peninsula of Michigan in 10-22-1936 but never seen anything like this. I picked up geodes on the lakeshore where there were impressive boulders instead of sugar sand beaches like where I lived in lower Michigan. Is there any specific history related to this particular spot? I was born in Stambough (Iron County) and my grandfather was a circuit preacher to Indian tribes in that area. I eventually migrated to Texas where I now live more comfortably without the very harsh winters, but it does get cold enough down here to remind me where I came from.
