This is certainly Spain, but not Madrid, as it reads. The picture shows Salamanca, capital city of Salamanca, which is one the nine provinces in Castilla y León… which is one of the seventeen ‘comunidades autónomas’ that form Spain.
You can see here the Roman bridge, the New Cathedral (and the Old one right before it), some beautiful trees that almost hide Tormes river, the dark dome of La Clerecía (with its twin towers), and a prominent structure of the Universidad de Salamanca (its belfry).
