Many people do not know, the name “Niagara Falls” is a collective name and not the actual name of all the falls, which are 3 of them.
The three falls on the Niagara River are:
Horseshoe Falls (Canadian),
Bridal Veil Falls (USA),
American Falls (USA),
All three of the falls are collectively called “Niagara Falls” since they are all fed by the Niagara River.
If you look close on the Google map showing the USA/Canada border line, it shows which part of Horseshoe falls is on the Canadian side.
