  • What was written was obviously false. I am not a geologist but I know it’s sandstone and not granite. If you search for the title on bing, it looks like the text is a cut and paste from pinterest. If windows spotlight is there to promote bing, it doesn’t say much for the reliability of the information you get from it.

  • The title is wrong, in two ways.

Firstly, Wüstenquell Guestfarm is nowhere near Karibib, which is 50 MILES to the northeast, so take “Karibib” out of the title. It’s not the closest town (many other towns are closer), so there’s no relation.

Secondly, if those rocks are “granite”, I’m a horse. Granite is a hard gray smooth rock that’s NOT easily sculpted by desert winds. That’s sandstone, not granite. So take the “granite” out of the title.

So, the title should be: “Eagle Rock in Namib Desert, near Wüstenquell Guestfarm, Erongo, Namibia”

    • whats your problem its a mistake everyone makes them

    • Thank you for that clarification. I just saw the word Granite and as a geologist, it piqued my interest! You are correct. Granite would not wear down like that. The rock here is clearly sandstone.
